SEAN LAU AND LOUIS KOO SET THE HEAT FOR “INFERNO”

Petaling Jaya, 10 September 2013 – Best actor Sean Lau Ching Wan and on-screen heartthrob Louis Koo will be here to set the heat for their latest fire-fighting action movie “Inferno”. The duo will be here on 29 September 2013 to promote the movie along with Malaysian-born best actresses Lee Sinje of “The Eye” fame and Crystal Lee of “Unbeatable” fame, as well as director Oxide Pang. The movie which was produced with USD 20 million is scheduled for nationwide release in the cinemas this 3^rd October.      

Fans will get a chance to meet the stars and director in person at 7.30pm on 29 September 2013 (Sunday) at the Upper Atrium, Level UG of Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya. Fans will be given a chance to participate in stage games and walk away with fantastic movie merchandise and prizes. Apart from the mall appearance, the stars and director will also be at GSC Paradigm Mall to grace the Gala Premiere on the same night. 

In conjunction with the event, GSC Movies in collaboration with Fire Fighter and Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Negeri Selangor will be organizing a 3-day Inferno movie and fire safety exhibition at the same venue from 27 to 29 September 2013. Movie props and gallery, as well as fire rescue equipments will be on display. Shoppers can participate in stage games, booth activities and fire safety demonstrations during the 3-day event.          

GSC Movies is proud to collaborate with official promo partner Fire Fighter, a market leader in fire prevention and protection industry, as well as official mall Paradigm Mall in hosting the artiste appearance and the exhibition. A press conference and media interviews with the stars and director will also be held at official hotel One World Hotel. Kuala Lumpur, 24^th September 2013 – Astro 本地圈singer, Nicole赖淞凤will be releasing her first solo mini album《爱我的人 收》. She will be having the premiere sales of her album on 28th September 2013 (Saturday), 2pm at Show House, Sunway Giza Mall. During that day, Nicole will also be there to perform three of the songs featured in her album. In addition, her MV for 《我不像他》will also be shown for the first time. She will also be doing fan-signing for the fans who bought her album to leave more sweet memories for them! Nicole赖淞凤 who is the winner for 《Astro新秀大赛2012》and second runner-up in《第二届华人星光大道》 has undergone training for one whole year. Finally she is able to release her first EP this September which is titled as 《爱我的人 收》. 《爱我的人 收》 was composed by Malaysia prestigious composer 陈彦珲 and the lyrics was written by文康. 《爱我的人 收》 has obtained good receptions after being broadcasted via Radio stations since July 2013. Furthermore, the official Music Video of this song has reached 250,000 views after being uploaded to youtube for two months.   

Her second hit song 《我不像他》was written by local singer伍家辉 who has written songs for many international singers before, including Jackie Cheung张学友《黑白画映》, 孙燕姿《祝你开心》、张栋樑《不多》、李佳薇《离场》and etc. This is his first time voluntarily writing a song for someone else. 《我不像他》MV was based on Nicole’s real life story and has invited celebrities from her same company, Fyone陈慧莹, Danny许佳麟 & Jordan盛天俊 to act inside the music video as a love triangle.

Besides, under the encouragement by the company, Nicole has also written lyrics for《你没有比我爱你》. This song conveys a different feeling compared to her other songs《爱我的人 收》&《我不像他》. The song has provided her a chance to express herself and utilize her voice to the max!

929 Go Green Campaign《929大手拉小手绿色寻“保”大行动》

Astro本地圈 invite you to contribute for recycling event

“Feel the warmth of recycling together!”“在这里做环保最温馨”

Kuala Lumpur, 19^th September 2013 – Co-organized by Astro本地圈, 培才华小, 美门中心残障关怀基金会, MY FM & MELODY FM as the official radio station, 《929大手拉小手大手绿色寻“保”大行动》will be held on 29^th September 2013, 7.30am in Petaling Jaya培才华小.

Astro本地圈hopes to promote the awareness regarding the importance of recycling into parents and their children via this event, Go Green Campaign《929大手拉小手绿色寻“保”大行动》. At the same time, Astro本地圈 has also set their goals to collect 9290 kg of recycled items. To set a good example, Astro has also encouraged their staffs to support recycling and reuse old items for the sake of the environment. In addition, 培才华小will also collaborate with Astro本地圈 to organize an inter-classes recycling competition“班级环保比一比”比赛 whereby teachers and students will be working together to contribute in recycling old items.

This is a very meaningful event! Those of you who love our environment should not miss it!

Astro本地圈 is now inviting you to bring along your recyclable and reusable items (such as paper, plastic bag, tin can, glasses, old clothes and old electronic device) to 培才华小 in contribution to this recycling campaign.

On that day itself, the public can also take part in the contest of 《“寻“保”队队碰》竞赛. Astro本地圈 celebrities such as颜江瀚、赵洁莹、赖淞凤、颜慧萍、黄毓敏、关萃汶、陈韵传、刘元元、刘界辉、盛天俊、林长金、the top 10 finalists of Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2013《Astro国际华裔小姐竞选2013》 and MY FM DJ 庄靖毅&符雁蓉 will also be taking part in this challenge.

《环保“大胃王”》竞赛 Biggest donator contest

• Public is welcomed to bring along old items which are recyclable to the venue. (Contest is INDIVIDUAL entry)
• The ranking will be based on the amount of items contributed. (Measured in Kg)
•  The three participant with the most items contribution will be the winner. (Measured in Kg)
• Contest time：7:30 am till 11:30 am

《寻“保”队队碰》游戏 “Treasure Hunt” Contest

• Enrollment is by individual registration, every registered participant will then be divided into groups. (Including celebrities)
• Every team will be given a treasure map. The members need to follow the leader’s order to hunt for the “treasure” within a time limit. During this process, every teams will be facing certain challenges.
• The ranking will be based on total amount of items collected (measured in Kg). The first three groups with the heaviest load of old items collected will be the winners.。
• Dress Code：Sport attire, sport shoes (Sunglasses & Sun block cream to prevent sun burn)
• This activity can be subjected to changes depending on the weather.
• This is a voluntary event. Every participants must possess the teamwork spirits and take care of each others.
• To ensure the safety of the participants, every participants must not leave too far from the team, need to obey the rules and be a team player. During the outdoor challenges, every member must take care of their own safety.
• Registration can only be done at the venue.
• Registration time: 7.30am – 8.15am (First come first served basis)

《亲子环保创意填色比赛》 Colouring Contest

• Competition will be divided into 2 categories, Category A (5-8 years old) & Category B (9-12 years old)
• The contest is opened to the primary school student and the teaming must be consisting of one parent and one child.
• Participants must use recyclable material to do the colouring.
• The teams of participants must prepare their own items (including the colouring material) & Chairs/Table (if needed). The diagram and paper will be provided by the organizer.
• Anyone who is interested can register via email, with the subject as “亲子环保创意填色比赛”，attaching along with participants’ (parent & child) details such as Names (English & Chinese), age, date of birth, contact numberand email address. Then submit it to：929gogreen@gmail.com。
• All registered participants must be present at the venue latest by 9.15am. Those who can’t make it by that time will be disqualified.   
• Registration can also be done at the venue itself, registration time is:  8:45am to 9:15am. (First come first served basis)

Mid Autumn Festival is around the corner. In conjunction to this festive season, 8TV hosts and local celebrities will be having an “8TV Carnival” at Berjaya Times Square from 10am-10pm on 14^th September 2013 (Saturday).

Kuala Lumpur, 12^th September 2013 – In conjunction with the upcoming Mid-autumn festival, SS2 as the organizer while MyFM as the official Radio Station will be having a Mid-Autumn Celebration Night《中秋之夜》on 16^th September 2013 (Monday) at 7pm in SS2 Mall. Among the celebrities who will be performing during the event include Kit张起政、可晴、Berg李承运 and Zen俊倩. 黄一飞 &《欢喜欢喜就好》casts are also invited to appear at the venue for some LIVE comedy performance. The host emcees for the event that night will be MyFM DJ Jason 贾森 and Wayne.  

During that day, apart from having notable celebrities who would be performing for the audience, they have also selected a few songs which are related to mid-autumn festival or full moon.  张起政 who just came back from China Mainland said that: “Malaysia has a more happening Mid-autumn Festival atmosphere if compared to the atmosphere in the mainland. In Malaysia, we can also find a vast diversity of mooncakes which are either traditional ones or creative ones.” 可晴 who has performed in Mid-autumn festival show past few years will also be performing this time. Two years ago, there was one mid-autumn outdoor show whereby she can’t perform due to rain. However, this time she has assured the media to not worry because the show this year will be held indoor. On the other hand,  李承运 who has involved in the Hollywood movie “Cyber” has mentioned that he was anticipating for the event because it has been a long time since he last performed on stage.

In the meantime, celebrity artists will be having some interaction and game sessions with the audience. Astro333 Channel《欢喜欢喜就好》casts &黄一飞 will be performing a “Mid-Autumn Musical Live” too. How will the musical be? Check it out during the event.

Besides, there will also be various stalls and booths at the venue which provide some lantern riddle for the crowd. You might have some chance to win some prizes via these games.

MALAYSIA, 30 JULY 2013 – MTV Asia, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA), today announced the addition of Asian K-Pop band EXO to its line-up of performers for MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013 which currently includes Robin Thicke, Far East Movement and Joe Flizzow, who were announced last week. The much anticipated outdoor concert takes place at Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon on Sunday, 8 September and is expected to attract a live audience of around 15,000 fans. It is sponsored by Sunway Group, Xpax and Suzuki, and supported by broadcast partner, Astro. Local radio partners are hitz.fm, ERA fm, MY FM and MIX fm.

MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2013 will be EXO’s first performance in Malaysia and on MTV. The 12-member EXO debuted last year and their popularity has been growing ever since they released their first full-length album XOXO in June. It has topped U.S. Billboard’s World Albums Chart. A repackaged version of XOXO containing three new songs will be rolled out on 5 August in Korea.
