Coverage: HARI Gwiyomi Meet-and-Greet In Sungei Wang, Kuala Lumpur

Just a few days ago, HARI, the original singer for the ever popular viral song Gwiyomi has met and greeted her fans in Malaysia. Our team has attended one of her promo tour session which was held in Sungei Wang, Kuala Lumpur.

Big Crowd Anticipated Hari’s appearance!

Before Hari has appeared on stage, the concourse area was already filled with fans who love Gwiyomi. Quite a lot of them have bought her album from the venue itself because they wanted to have an autograph opportunity with Hari.

Cuteness Overload with Gwiyomi!

Gwiyomi song was played quite a number of times pre-and-post event! There was one dance performance by RedMouse Dance Academy (Jinghan, Jasmine, Sonja, Carol) before Hari came on stage. The dance was complemented with Gwiyomi song as well! When Hari came on stage, the host emcee has asked her to demonstrate Gwiyomi dance gestures too! It was really cute!

In addition, Hari has even performed a seductive version of Gwiyomi. She also sang the song LIVE on stage!

When on stage, she also told the fans regarding her inspiration for Gwiyomi song. She has also introduced the Gwiyomi song producers who were present at the venue to the audience. Furthermore, Hari has also learnt a few Malay words such as “Terima Kasih” and “Jumpa Lagi” as a courtesy to get more connected to the fans here.

Games and Interaction Session With Fans! Even The Producers For Gwiyomi Went On Stage!

During the event, there was one session whereby a few lucky fans were chosen to go on stage for a close interaction with Hari. All of these chosen fans were required to perform Gwiyomi! Some of the fans were quite shy while some were sporting enough to demonstrate their own style of Gwiyomi!

The session was even more interesting as the producers for gwiyomi songs were asked to perform Gwiyomi dance too. They however, have shown the crowd a different version of gwiyomi which they claimed to be the “dirty” version. Well, the “dirty” version is really dirty literally as the original gwiyomi steps were replaced with nose-picking, rubbing armpits and etc. However, their spontaneity has earned the applause from the crowd!

All of the lucky fans were then given some prizes before they left the stage!

A Truly Heartwarming Autograph Session!

The autograph session has a very heartwarming scene. While patiently signing everyone’s album, Hari also allowed each and everyone of the fans to take a photo with her while on stage. This is really a sincere repay to her fans who love her viral-song, Gwiyomi!

Last but not least, some other lucky fans and winner from lucky draw also have the special photograph opportunity with Hari!

For many years, TVB has been producing many great dramas for the Chinese audience worldwide. The variety of programmes under TVB has always amazed the TV audience. Malaysian TV audience is one of the greatest oversea supports for Hong Kong TVB. Thus, TVB will be organizing an upcoming award show in Malaysia, TVB马来西亚星光荟萃颁奖典礼2013 which allows the Malaysian fans to vote and support their favourite artistes as well as their favourite dramas & programmes. A series of Promo Tour will be held too.

“TVB马来西亚星光荟萃颁奖典礼 2013” will be held on 1^st December 2013 (Sunday) at KWC Star Stage, Kuala Lumpur. Many TVB artistes will be attending the event. Surely, it will become the talk of the month.

The voting for the awards show is open to public in Malaysia from 1^st November 2013 to 22^nd November 2013. There are 13 awards that will be given during the show including:

Kuala Lumpur, 8^th November 2013 – Thanks to Red box, I have the opportunity to attend Ming Bridges Birthday Celebration a few days ago (2^nd November 2013) at Red Box, Lowyat Plaza.

Ming Bridges Meet and Greet Fans! Played Games With the Fans!

The gathering was attended by both the media members as well as the lucky fans who have won the passes to attend the birthday celebration. During the gathering, a few different games were played such as Q&A (questions about Ming Bridges), Yoga and paper-scissor-rock (男生女生配). All of the fans were happy to be able to meet Ming at such a close distance. However, some of them were shy when the host asked them to volunteer for gaming session.

Either way, those fans that have stood up and played the games were very sporting. Of course, Ming was very friendly and interacted well with the fans too. One of the fans was even asked to confess his feelings to Ming. All of these lucky fans who played the games were given present by Ming.

Interview by the host with Ming In-Between every Fans Sessions!

In between every games session, Ming was being interviewed by the host. Ming stated that her Mandarin has improved a lot compared to last time. Before she learnt Mandarin, she has some difficulty in understanding what her grandmother was speaking about. Nowadays, she can understand Mandarin much better.

Besides, the host also asked her about the songs in her album. She described that her song “愛人為快樂之本” was inspired by the mandarin idioms, 助人为快乐之本.   Then, she has even sung LIVE right in front of the fans. She sang the chorus of “泪若雨下”. All of the fans were mesmerized by her sweet and melodious vocal.

Other than that, the host has asked Ming regarding her life before she was debuted as a singer. She said that due to her mixed-race heritage, she used to have some awkwardness mingling with her peers because the British peers don’t really feel that she’s a British while the Asian peers do not see her as an Asian. Apart from that, she also admitted that she used to be a fat girl. However, to maintain her image as a celebrity, she has cut down her weight and put more concern on her health status. When asked regarding how much weight that she has reduced since debut, she replied, “12kg.”

Birthday Surprise for Ming Bridges!

Ming Bridges was not informed regarding the birthday surprise that everyone has planned for her. When the birthday song was sung by the fans, a birthday cake was pushed into the room. She was delighted with the surprise. The birthday cake was pink in colour which is Ming’s favourite colour. In addition, the birthday song was sung in a few different languages including Malay version.

Ming has made wishes before blowing the candle. When the host asked her to reveal her wish, she was very shy and replied that the wishes won’t come true if they were revealed. After another attempt by the host, she finally voiced out one of her wish, that is, to hope that all of her family will be healthy and all of her fans will continue to like her music.

Fans’ Birthday Gifts For Ming!

Besides the cake and birthday song, some fans were thoughtful and has prepared birthday gifts for Ming. One of them has even drawn a portrait of Ming. The others have made her cards and gave her doll too.
