Review:
First
and foremost, I would like to say that, like the previous 4 instalments. This
is not a movie for everyone. So, those who were never a fans of Twilight, I think
this is not a movie for the pick. However, for the twilight fans, this is
definitely a well-concluded Finale for the franchise and you will definitely
love it as much as you loved the previous 4 movies.
This
movie continues from where “Twilight: Breaking
Dawn Part 1” ends. Basically, the movie does not explain too much about
what really happened in the first part. For those who have never watched the
first part of Breaking Dawn, you might be a little bit confused during the
beginning of the movie. But no worries, you should be able to follow the flow
of the movie because it revolves around a simple storyline of “Parents trying
to protect their child”. Of course, for those who would like to understand the
movie more thoroughly, I would advise you to rewatch the previous few episodes,
or at least Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Well,
the storyline this time around is quite simple and basically not much climax
until near the last 30 minutes of the movie. There are some decent action
scenes in the final 30 minutes. Those action scenes are quite violent as they
involved some neck twisting and head breaking. The twist and turn of story at
the end of the action scenes is quite surprising though but it makes the fighting
scenes seem quite pointless. Overall, the plot and scene sequences are still not
bad and has nevertheless sum up a good conclusion for this franchise.
On
the contrary, the acting of the movie is really not that good. Most of the
characters show stony expressions in a lot of scenes and I doubt their
unconvincing acting would be able to please the non-fans audience.
However,
I need to compliment this movie for having a good background music scores.
Honestly, the music in this movie has done a great job in bringing the mood and
making the movie more lively. Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” is really amazing
and it has been a major factor which makes the very last scene of the movie to
be really touching. For those fans of Twilight series, I think you guys will
love the credit of this film while listening to this wonderful song during the
credit roll.
Overall, I think it is still a good movie, but not
amazing!
However, it is definitely a good conclusion for the
franchise!
What
I like about the movie:
- Nice background music.
- Some nice action scenes.
- Simple plot which can let the non-fans follow the track easily
What
I dislike about the movie:
- Acting which
is not convincing.
- Lacking of
climax in the first 1 hour of the movie
Verdict:
This movie deserves a 6.5/10.0!
It is
a satisfying Finale for Twilight Movie Franchise, and it’s definitely a must
watch for Twilight fans!
However, for those who has never like Twilight
movies, this is definitely not your cup of tea! Like what I have said, this is not a
movie for everyone!
