Coverage: “The Hippocratic Crush
II” (“On Call 36 小时II”) Promo Tour @ Paradigm Mall
Kuala Lumpur 21st October 2013 – As mentioned in the
previous coverage post about the press conference of “The Hippocratic Crush II”, the casts from the drama including
Tavia Yeung杨怡、Lawrence Ng吴启华、Mandy Wong黄智雯
& Benjamin Yuen袁伟豪 have
come to Malaysia on the past few days to run a 3 days promo!

Promo Tour @ Paradigm Mall
The first stop for the promo tour is at Paradigm Mall, UG Floor, Concourse Hall on 18th October 2013. Many fans have attended the promo activity to
support their favorite idols and the upcoming TVB series.
Casts
Came On Stage To Meet and Greet The Fans!
Lawrence
Ng 吴启华, Tavia Yeung 杨怡, Mandy Wong 黄智雯 and Benjamin Yuen袁伟豪 have
appeared on stage to meet and greet the fans. It was a rushing journey for them
because their schedule was quite packed that day. Just 2 hours prior to the
promo event, they had their press conference with the media members. Right
after their press conference, they had a LIVE interview with MyFM before coming
to Paradigm Mall. However, they were very happy to see the amount of fans that
have turned up to support them.
Introduction
of their ownselves and their characters in the drama! Extended Trailer was
revealed to the public!
The casts have introduced themselves and described regarding their
characters in the drama. Tavia Yeung 杨怡 said
that via this drama, she felt like she has really gained a lot of medical
knowledge and even some skills in surgery. On the other hand, Lawrence Ng吴启华
who was here in Malaysia for the first time has been referred as华哥 (Wah Gor) by the host because he is
a veteran in acting and has been in this field for many years.
All of the casts then told the audience more about the drama. (Quite
similar to what they have told the media members during the press conference.

The
First Game Session between Lawrence, Tavia and their fans!
As Mandy Wong黄智雯 & Benjamin Yuen袁伟豪 went to the backstage to prepare for their performances, Tavia and Lawrence maintained on stage to play a game with a few lucky fans.
They picked their fans on their own and each formed a team with their respectively
fans. The first game required the artistes to do a bandage on the fans
depending on the scenario given on the screen. The fans were sporting enough to
be the “victim” to be bandaged by the “doctors” on stage.
In the end, based on the crowd’s response and feedbacks, Tavia won the game! It seems like Tavia is not joking about her gaining some
real clinical skills after getting involved in this drama. On the other hand, Lawrence jokingly said that his role in
the drama is a Pathology Specialist.
That’s why he didn’t gain as much skills as Tavia did.
Mandy Wong
& Benjamin Yuen can sing!
One of the surprises of the night is, Benjamin & Mandy can
actually sing quite well! It’s common for us to see both of them acting in a
TVB drama but it is really a rare opportunity to listen to them singing.
Benjamin
felt delighted to see the supportive fans in Malaysia. He even took a
self-photo on stage with the crowd as the background!
Mandy is very
friendly and interacted with the fans while she’s singing. She asked the fans
to sing along if they knew the lyrics of the song.
All the 4
casts came back on stage for the last game!
The last game involved all 4 of the artistes. It is a “guessing words”
game. A few fans were chosen to come on stage to act out and give clues
regarding the words while the artistes have to guess the words. All of these “doctors”
really did have some medical knowledge and were able to guess out the words
which are all made up of medical jargons or common diseases names.
Benjamin
was very impressive in this game because he was able to guess each
word within a few seconds after the
fans acted out the clues to him. Thus, he and his fans won this game session.
The lucky winning fans received a TVB Buddy from Benjamin after that. The fans even managed to get an autograph from
Benjamin right before she left the
stage. Such a lucky girl!
A
Precious Reward to The Fans! The Lab coats!
Besides, the casts have also given out a precious gift to the fans,
which is, the autographed lab coats! The artistes said that they hope that
these gifts can be an inspiration to the fans and encourage them to become a
doctor next time. Lawrence has also
shared the story of some fans who met him last time and told him that his role
in Healing Hands have made them take
up medical courses. He felt very happy hearing about it and he hopes the giving
away of the lab coat this time can have the similar effects to the fans here
too.
《TVB马来西亚星光荟萃颁奖典礼2013》 introduced to the crowd!
The crowd
was also informed regarding《TVB马来西亚星光荟萃颁奖典礼2013》which
will be held on 1st December 2013.
This is the first time for the award to be organized by TVB, supported by Astro as the official media
partner, MyFM as the official Radio
Station.
The emcees
and the artistes have reminded the fans to remember to vote for their favorite
celebrities, shows and dramas!
Poster Signing Marked The End Of The
Promo Event!
The last
session during the promo activity is the poster signing session by the
artistes. Many lucky Astro users were able to get the autographed “The Hippocratic Crush II” posters from
these artistes on stage!
“The Hippocratic Crush II” 《On Call 36小时II》 will be
aired in Astro On Demand this coming 4th
November 2013 (On air at the same time with Hong Kong)! Do stay tuned for
it!
