Let’s insert a coin and check-it out in your nearest cinema now!

Review:

“Wreck it Ralph” has been one of the nicest animated movie of the year in my opinion. It has been able to deliver the same kind of nostalgic feeling like Toys Story because its story is about one of the people’s favourite childhood pastimes , VIDEO GAMES.

The whole story has a smooth flow despite of involving a few different games with totally different settings such as “Fix-it Felix Junior”, a retro style of arcade game, “Hero’s Duty”, a sci-fi First-person shooter game and “Sugar Rush”,  a sweet candilicious kart game similar to Sonic and Sega All-star racing. The movie has successfully created life in all these different settings. They made us feel like the game characters are just like real human being, having their jobs, emotions and mood. It’s just like in Toys Story whereby the toys would start to interact with each other when no human is around.

In addition, the story of the film is actually very entertaining and filled with some surprises which are pleasant not just for the gamers audience, but also for non-gamers audience too. For those arcade game lovers, do expect to see some Cameo appearance from some of those famous games franchise, such as Zangief, M.Bison (Street fighter) and etc. As a gamer, I felt quite excited seeing some of my favourite game characters making a brief appearance here.

The movie is a very relaxing one and there is quite a number of funny scenes in it. Of course, this film is also quite meaningful and there’s a few scenes whereby you might even feel like crying because they are quite touching.

Overall, this movie is awesome and is definitely a must watch. I think that the production team has really done a good job in delivering a movie regarding Video Games. Well Done!

What I like about the movie:
  1. Fresh and solid storyline
  2. Nice pace despite of involving a few totally distinct settings and characters
  3. Funny yet meaningful
  4. Nice cameo appearance from other video games franchise
What I dislike about the movie:
       1.  Wish there are more cameo appearance from more games franchise

Verdict:

This movie deserves a 9.0/10.0!

It is a creative and fantastic animation movie with a nostalgic theme! It’s a nice treat and a must watch for everyone regardless of gamers or non-gamers!

However, the jokes in this film are targeted for kids mostly, so those adults who are expecting “laughing gas” standard of humour, you might get pissed off or bored with the movie!

**BONUS: Here’s the link to play those games seen in the movie, namely “FIX-IT FELIX”, “HERO’S DUTY” and  “SUGAR RUSH”! Enjoy!

Anyway, thanks Nuffnang for the screening! :-)

Check out the finale of the famous “Twilight” franchise in your nearest cinema now!

Review:

First and foremost, I would like to say that, like the previous 4 instalments. This is not a movie for everyone. So, those who were never a fans of Twilight, I think this is not a movie for the pick. However, for the twilight fans, this is definitely a well-concluded Finale for the franchise and you will definitely love it as much as you loved the previous 4 movies.

This movie continues from where “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1” ends. Basically, the movie does not explain too much about what really happened in the first part. For those who have never watched the first part of Breaking Dawn, you might be a little bit confused during the beginning of the movie. But no worries, you should be able to follow the flow of the movie because it revolves around a simple storyline of “Parents trying to protect their child”. Of course, for those who would like to understand the movie more thoroughly, I would advise you to rewatch the previous few episodes, or at least Breaking Dawn Part 1.

Well, the storyline this time around is quite simple and basically not much climax until near the last 30 minutes of the movie. There are some decent action scenes in the final 30 minutes. Those action scenes are quite violent as they involved some neck twisting and head breaking. The twist and turn of story at the end of the action scenes is quite surprising though but it makes the fighting scenes seem quite pointless. Overall, the plot and scene sequences are still not bad and has nevertheless sum up a good conclusion for this franchise.

On the contrary, the acting of the movie is really not that good. Most of the characters show stony expressions in a lot of scenes and I doubt their unconvincing acting would be able to please the non-fans audience.

However, I need to compliment this movie for having a good background music scores. Honestly, the music in this movie has done a great job in bringing the mood and making the movie more lively. Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” is really amazing and it has been a major factor which makes the very last scene of the movie to be really touching. For those fans of Twilight series, I think you guys will love the credit of this film while listening to this wonderful song during the credit roll.

Overall, I think it is still a good movie, but not amazing!
However, it is definitely a good conclusion for the franchise!

What I like about the movie:
  1. Nice background music.
  2. Some nice action scenes.
  3. Simple plot which can let the non-fans follow the track easily
What I dislike about the movie:
  1. Acting which is not convincing.
  2. Lacking of climax in the first 1 hour of the movie
Verdict:

This movie deserves a 6.5/10.0!

It is a satisfying Finale for Twilight Movie Franchise, and it’s definitely a must watch for Twilight fans!

However, for those who has never like Twilight movies, this is definitely not your cup of tea! Like what I have said, this is not a movie for everyone!

Coverage of "Till The End Of The World"

Thanks to The Actors Studio, I was invited to attend the the show "Till The End Of The World" with my girlfriend,Josephine. This show is a show that has been intended to provide insight to the audience and it is more of a serious talk show stage performance which tackled on the topic of Doomsday.

Story Introduction:
"Till The End Of The World" is a stage show about a few people from different occupations come together at MYFM Radio Station and being interviewed about what they would like to do if the world is about to end.

Each and everyone of them has different views about end of the world and each of them has different things that they would like to do a few hours before the world ends.

After being repetitively questioned for a few times, a contemporary scene draws in and more introduction of the characters are done.

Basically, during every different scenes, the characters would be telling us more about how they view life, what are the problems that they faced and some small gags in between.

Some of the stories told by the characters during the show are real and can be related well with our lives too.

Performance:
The lineups for this show include a lot of famous icons such as Royce Tan, Calvin Hee, Roax Tan, Tee, TY Low, Andrew Low, Ong Hongyi, Desmomd Chan, Sufian Azais, Emely Poon, and also Youngz Gao.

Overall, the performance is basically just some sharing of stories by these characters and also some contemporary scene in between each scenes. Every scenes has its own meaning and it may require you to think, in order to truly understand the scenes.

Some funny dialogues were included but at a minimal amount as most of the stage time was done in a more serious approach. And take note, some foul words were inserted in the dialogues and thus I think it may be an appropriate show for the minors.

The performance overall as warned by the director before the show, that it might be boring to some. But to me, it is actually quite meaningful. It is quite dependent on the viewers. Those of you who expect a dramatic story or very funny show, this is definitely not your cup of tea.

However, in my opinion, It is definitely a show for us to sit back, relax and have an insight about how we should tackle the end of the world! It is definitely thoughtful and meaningful!

For those who still haven't catch the show, you can still watch it today at 3pm at The Actors Studio, Lot 10.

"ZE:A Showcase LIVE in Malaysia" Coverage

"ZE:A Showcase LIVE in Malaysia" Coverage
Date: 10th November 2012
Venue: Kenanga Wholesale City

This is the second time that ZE:A, Children of Empire came to Malaysia. This time, they have been quite a familiar face in Malaysia and has been greeted by more and more supporters from Malaysia.

This showcase was organized by Jazzy Group, the same group of organizer behind T-ara Showcase and Lee Seung Gi Showcase in Malaysia.

The boys entered onto the stage at around 7.40pm! All the crowd were excited as they saw ZE:A came out!

The hall was filled with crowd. See, one of the fans were so excited that she actually jumped up during ZE:A's performance!
After they sang around 2-3 songs, they proceeded with a short interview session.

Short Interview Session: (7.55pm- 8.15pm)
"Who is the member who eats the most?"
"Who is the dirtiest member?"
and "Who would be the best member to introduce to girls?"

These were some of the exclusive questions which were asked during this session. Those who have attended the showcase would know the answers to the above questions!

ZE:A members holding pointing-fingers stick. The stick was used to point at the member who was the answer to the questions above.
First Interaction with Fans : Game 1 (Scissors, Paper and Rock): (8.15pm)
Just like the usual Kpop showcases organized by Jazzy Groups, Interactions with Fans session were present. A few fans were selected via lucky draw to come up on stage for the games session.

So, basically the winners of the scissor, paper and rock would be given a chance to do something to one of the boys or vice versa. However, the result of the game didn't really matter. Because all of the boys from ZE:A were so friendly that all of them hugged their fans despite the fans losing the game.

Hugs~!

Can't spot yourself here? Can check out the photo album in my facebook page! The facebook album link can be found at the bottom of this post.

The game ended at around 8.25pm, and then the boys went to the backstage to change their attire. During this gap period, OneFM DJ warmed up the crowd by asking the crowd to shout and see which side shouted the loudest.

Warming up the crowd before the boys come out again!

Then, there was a video presentation showing the history of ZE:A!

At around 8.35pm, ZE:A appeared on stage again with different outfits and sang another 3 songs before they proceeded with another fans interactions session!

Second Interactions with Fans: Game 2 (8.45pm)
The second fans interaction session was "Drawing T-shirt" with fans whereby each member drew the blank white t-shirt with one fans respectively. The exclusively designed on-stage T-shirt were given to these fans after they have done the drawing together.

The fans were drawing the empty T-shirt with ZE:A members!
The boys were so kind to the fans. Those members who were not drawing the T-shirt at the moment came to the middle of the stage and sang songs to entertain the crowd!

The crowd was trying to grab the extra T-shirt that was thrown down from stage!
Third Interaction with Fans : Game 3 (9.00pm)
During this session, there were 6 choices of game for the members to play with their lucky fans. The ZE:A members need to shoot the arrow to pick the game that they wanted to play with their fans.

The paper board showed all the choices of games available.

ZE:A members and the fans were listening attentively to the instructions.
The lucky fans who won in the games would get to take a selca photos via their own cellphones with their beloved ZE:A members! But like in the previous games, winning and losing didn't really matters. The members were so friendly that they even allowed the fans to take selca by the side of the stage while the other members and fans were playing the games in the middle of the stage.

Throw the paper to flip the other paper!
Lucky fans who won the game!
The fans took selca photo with ZE:A members by the side of the stage while the spot light was not on them!
After this game sessions, ZE:A proceeded with another 3 songs and then there was a surprise event for one of the members of ZE:A, it's:

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR HYUNGSIK!

After the birthday surprise, the showcase then continued with the finale and climax of the show!
The boys started to move around the stage more and also came nearer to the crowd.

Here's the climax and special stage performance by ZE:A!
